Disability accessibility questions, before we put down money: Can you give us a sense of where, geographically, the tour goes? How long is the route? How fast will the tour be moving? What streets will be travelled? Where are the stops? Are there curb cuts on every sidewalk? Are there public restrooms or breaks planned along the way? Thanks.
hey sarah — thanks for the note. we’ll be posting a full itinerary in the coming days. look for more info on our site by the end of next week. the tour will focus on the area between sw stark/ 12th and old town. it is a comfortable stroll. i imagine curbs will not be a problem and all sites are ADA accessible. while there will be no designated bathroom break, there are plenty of places you will be able to use the restrooms. is that specific enough?
The tour begins at PICA?
415 SW 10th AVENUE (SUITE 300), PORTLAND, OR 97205
Where is the event actually held? In other words, where is the check in? I purchased tickets and was told they would be available “at the door?” but don’t actually know where that is. Thanks!
Is this an all ages event?
yes!
check in is at PICA; you do need advance tickets/ registration to attend. if you purchased a ticket, you will be receiving a confirmation e-mail with an itinerary. let us know if you have any additional questions, thanks!
yes but you need to purchase a ticket ahead of time, thanks!
Will this be happening again? I wish to go one but due to illness need to plan ahead!!
due to the number of speakers involved, sorry, this is a one-off event. we will be developing a different version of this tour we plan to offer on a recurring basis, led by one guide. the nature of it will be different, but will have some of the same content. keep an eye out to our site in the coming weeks. and hope you feel better!
Oh I understand that!! Thank you!
