While we’ve been taking a little break in our programming, things are all but quiet at the Dill Pickle Club. We’ve been planning a number of programs, including our 2012 Peripheries Tours — a series of 6 cross-cultural tours looking at the peripheries of Portland.
We’re honored to be working on this program with community organizers Nim Xuto and Polo Catalani (who run the fantastic Colored Pencils) and former City Council candidate Teressa Raiford (who operates Hazina Management). These three outstanding advocates bring extensive experience that will ensure this program’s success, and we are excited to work with them in planning these offerings.
While we finalize the tour details, we are also making good progress on some branding. We’ll be printing a bilingual newspaper outlining the programs, to be distributed for free at venues in and outside of the Portland metro area. Special thanks to former DPC interns Julianna Johnson and Kate Giambrone, who snapped a few preview images of their work (more images after the jump!).
Stay tuned…we’ll be announcing the programs at a members-only preview party, Thursday August 16 (not a member? join here). More details soon…
