Join us for the 3rd Annual Perfect Pickle, the Dill Pickle Club’s annual awareness event in which we challenge local chefs to craft the ultimate pickle, with proceedings benefiting our mission of broadening knowledge of Portland’s past, present and future.
The rules are simple: we supply 10 esteemed local restaurants with 25 pounds of local cucumbers and mason jars. In February, the pickles are open for tasting, and judged by notable food celebrities and the public at large. The evening is set to a backdrop of a local music and entertainment.

Can I volunteer in order to attend the event? I’ve long supported DPC events and would like to go but this year finances are difficult.
hey sarah! thanks for the note. why of course. we can definitely use volunteers at the event. i will add your email address to our email list and be in touch shortly! there are always opportunities to do a work trade for our events…
Could I get on that volunteer email list too? Would love to help if I can.
sure thing jessica! is your email yessicabarber@yahoo.com or jessicabarber@yahoo.com? just checking… let us know! reply here or to ask@dillpickleclub.org

Can we bring kids to the event?
AND, would we need to buy a ticket for the event? Our daughter is 3.
I mean… buy a ticket FOR our kid. Ok, last comment.
hey chelsey, thanks for the note. yes, the event is all ages! i am not sure about legal bit and capacity and all that, but i’m sure that would be fine if you would like to bring your daughter, and no additional ticket would be needed. let us know if you have any additional questions, and hope to see you there!
When will the current poster be available, and was there one for the 1st annual event? I just ordered the 2nd annual poster – would be neat to have the collection.
hey jill, thanks for the note! yes we have a limited number of this year’s left over, and we may have one from the first year. i’ll drop you a note and maybe you can swing by our office. thanks for your support!
Is there a set time that the pickles will be doled out for tasting? I’d hate to miss that part of the evening.
Hi-
is there a discount for kids’ tix? what ages would need a ticket?
would really like to go w/ our two kids but wouldn’t be able to stay for long, so it’d be really pricey if we had to buy full price tix for four…
thanks
hey kate! kids 12 and under are free, so please bring ‘em! let us know if you have any additional questions. thanks!
hey robin! the pickle tasting will happen around 7:30PM. see you there!
