News on the publications front! Head on over to our call for submission for Comics for Change! Illustrated Stories From Oregon’s Front LinesThe series of 10 comics will tell the stories of Oregonian activists working for social change…and we want you to be involved!

Participate in the following 3 ways:
1) Submit your portfolio to be a participating artist ($500 grant award!)
2) Submit your writing samples to be a participating writer ($500 grant award!)
3) Nominate an outstanding community activist (no grant award, but still pretty sweet)

Get the details on over at the program page…but don’t delay – applications are due May 24th. Be sure to check the awesome promo video Ben Popp made for us below, and help spread the word by sharing with your social networks – especially your artist and writer friends!

The project builds off the success of our last comics series, Oregon History Comics: Illustrated Stories from Oregon’s Little-Known Past. Speaking of which, the comics continue to sell well and we are nearing the end of our second print run. We still have a bunch in stock though – and as luck would have it – will be tabling the Stumptown Comics Festival this weekend at the Oregon Convention Center. Catch us there all day Saturday or Sunday…see you then!
