Our big week! Details on Thursday gala and after party

Only a few tickets remain for the Know Your City Untold Stories gala this Thursday!

If you can’t join us for the entire gala, you can also come to the after party from 8 to 9:30 to celebrate and enjoy the music of the Toshi Onizaku Trio! You can purchase a ticket for the afterparty through this link, or at the door at Ecotrust. We’ll have drinks provided by Deschutes Brewery, New Deal Distillery, and Tito’s Handmade Vodka.

Are you frustrated with Portland’s state of unaffordable housing? KYC is hosting an event on Monday, October 24th as an outlet for conversation and action. Thanks to the Oregon Humanities Responsive Grant program, we are offering Visions of a Housed Community, a teach-in and community dialogue to explore the diverse perspectives around how we should provide safe, affordable housing for all Portlanders. This event is free to the public, and we’ll be providing food and drinks. RSVP here.

On October 21st at Revolution Hall, KYC is partnering with 1000 Friends of Oregon, Portland Tenants United, and Portland Right to the City Coalition on a Portland City Commissioner candidates forum on the housing crisis and social justice, called “Rents, Tents, Development: Who does City Council Represent?” We already have 300 RSVPs for the event, so RSVP today while we still have space.

Know Your City is seeking volunteers! Fill out this information form if you are interested in joining our volunteer team.
